We want our seniors and elderly to remain in the comfort of their homes and receive timely professional care and continue to enjoy the joy of life in their old age. We at RALA understand family members may not be available for continual care of their old age mother, father, grandmother’s and grandfather’s after marriage, bearing of children, surgery, illness or travelling outside the country due to tight schedules, therefore we at RALA provide Caregivers, professional homecare to make your transition a success. It is only a natural phenomenon that as one age gracefully, we are not able to do for ourselves all we need. Here, we can make do with some support. Reliance Assisted Living Agency (RALA) is an indigenous start-up company which commenced business in Nigeria May, 2015 due to the founding partners experience in CARE-GIVING as a job in Canada, USA, and United Kingdom for their elderly parents and from seeing, hearing and physical involvement in other families and friends life.
Our personal Caregiver and Companion Sitters; assist with activities of daily living for the elderly. We provide 24/7 live-in care for elderly, adults, veterans and the Unable individuals requiring assistance.
NEGLECT FOR THE ELDERLY AND THE AGED
In our country Nigeria today: no government programs for the aged and the elderly. We have heard government making promises, creating programs to empower the youth. We have also heard and observed government and its agencies creating programs for the women and the market women in various communities, local government and at states level.
It is regrettable to observe that government has no programs or support for the elderly, seniors and the aged ones. Those elderly and senior that has no taste of government job, has no gratuity or pension to live on, and are left to wallow in abject poverty and suffering in their transitional age. These seniors and aged one in our community, state or country has no better ending.
The situation of the elderly, seniors or aged one is very unimaginable state. Hence we are talking and working at RAlA to providing palliative measure with little funding from client, agencies and government in support of this program.
The experience sparked the desire to help other families. This observation is now the desire to assist others soon developed into a needed service to render.
OUR MISSION
This Homecare Agency named RALA (Reliance Assisted living Agency) is dedicated to proving excellent and dedicated homecare services to clients in our communities, cities, states and the country at large; that will be provided by our trained, qualified, dedicated, identified and bondable personnel in a fiscally responsible manner. More than 90 per cent of the elderly want to stay in their home for care unlike the western culture who takes their aged parents to GOVERNMENT RUN OLD-PEOPLE’S HOME. Caring for Seniors while helping them maintain a home based lifestyle is our mission and a motivational instinct from the inception of RALA by the partners after returning to our country, Nigeria.
