—What He Says About Saraki’s Defeat
Against all odds, Senator Dino Melaye was returned, as announced in the wee hours of Monday by the INEC returning officer for the district, to the red chamber.
Reacting to his victory, Senator Dino said: “To God alone be the glory forever and ever. Amen. I have just been declared winner of the Kogi West Senatorial District Election. God only You would have done this.
“Kogi West, I thank you all. I love you all. What a mighty God we serve.”
Meanwhile, Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has reacted as the Senate President, Bukola Saraki lost his bid for re-election into the Senate.
Saraki had lost to Dr Yahaya Oloriegbe of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Sat the Saturday’s Senatorial election.
Oloriegbe polled a total of 123, 808 votes to defeat the Senate President who scored 68, 994 votes in the four local governments of Kwara Central Senatorial District.
But reacting, Dino Melaye in a tweet commended Saraki for defending democracy.
According to him, Saraki promotes national heritage.
He tweeted, “Sen. Bukola Saraki, the indefatigable defender of our democracy. True Patriot and promoter of our national Heritage. Every orchestration, gang up, manipulation and deliberate wickedness against you is temporal and evaporative.
“You remain my boss, brother and friend. I love you.”
