Things You Need To Know Before You Drop Your Phones At That Security Post

When you drop your phone at the Security Post of any Agency of Government, whether the Police, DSS, EFCC or Seat of Government, you are made to believe that the reason for doing so, is to protect the confidentiality of your conversations while you are there.
It may however interest you to know that the real reason may be to intrude into the confidentiality of your communications when you leave there, as your phones may be tapped, if you are a Person Of Interest (POI) or a Non State Actor (NSA ).
The tapping of the phone, if done, is fast and furious and you may not even notice.
From then, they would listen to all your calls as a third party agent, which call is auto recorded on their device to either get evidence to substantiate allegations against you or to fish for evidence to nail you.
From when your phone is tapped, every textual communication on your phone whether it is whatssap chat, facebook post, messenger chats, text messeges and wait for this your credit and debit bank alerts will show in their device in an auto save mode.
If you don’t have any skeleton in your cupboard you have nothing to fear, but they will know where you are, what you eat and what you do and your financial status at anytime.
The crux of the matter.Your Safety is compromised and other collateral damages may follow ,if those vital information fall into the wrong hands.
But the whole exercise is illegal and a violation of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ,1999 (As Amended ) because it is an infringement on your rights to privacy and frredom of thought and expression.
The best way to avoid this situation is to leave your phones in the car, in your office or hotel room as the case may be when you visit the places mentioned above.
But if you suspect your phone has been tapped, change your phone to a small phone that does not use the Internet.
Generally it is safer to use a phone that does not use the Internet to keep your location and other vital private details of yourself safe.
Do not also give your phone number to some one you do not know too well as your phone number is a security detail that could be used to extract other vital details of you from the different databases that abound.
If you change your sim card to put another sim in the tapped phone ,it will remain tapped, just change the phone to a small phone.
Generally be wary what you say on the phone, you may be shocked to realize who is listening.
Desperate times require desperate measures.
