As preparations hot up for the 2019 Alaghodaro Summit, sponsors are falling over themselves to partake in the event, which has grown in reputation to become one of the most anticipated gathering of the crème of Nigeria’s business community.
The Alaghodaro Summit, in its third edition, is organised to mark the third-year anniversary of the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration in Edo State and hosts Nigeria’s business and investment community to an event to showcase the progress being recorded in transforming the state into an investment haven.
In a statement, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, said a number of sponsors have confirmed interest to play major roles in the hosting of the third edition of the summit.
According to him, “We have platinum, gold, silver and bronze partners. On the platinum category, we have Access Bank, Sterling Bank, Bua Group, Dangote Group and Afrinvest. On the gold category, we have Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN), Hartland, Presco Plc, Gladtrico International Ltd, Okomu Plc, Levant Construction Ltd, Nosak Group, Straz, Setraco Nigeria, Hitech, A & K and China Harbour.”
He said those in the Silver category include Banwo&Ighodalo and Sahara Group, while for the Bronze category are GIS Logistics, Mixta Africa, Grafix Palace Ltd, Redwire, Vissaus and Eterno Hotels.
He added that the media partners for the event include The Nation, Channels TV, BusinessDay, NTA and ThisDay, while the airline partners are Arik Air, Air Peace and Aero Contractors.
The governor’s aide said the summit is being sponsored by these businesses to lend support to the Governor Obaseki-led government, adding, “We are very elated that these sponsors have rolled out the drums in support of the reforms in the state. There is no denying that the state is attracting a lot of attention from investors and it is wise to celebrate what has been achieved.”
