The Coalition of Civil Society Organisations for good Governance and Internal Democracy has kicked against the report of the commission of Inquiry set up by goveror Obaseki against Adams Oshiomhole as blackmail and lacks merit.
Briefing journalists in Benin City, spokesperson of the group, Solomon Idiogbe, who faulted the report of the commission of Inquiry set up by the governor, said the composition of the panel reflects an underhand motive geared towards indicting and demeaning Oshiomhole.
Idiogbe added that the constitution of the panel is not in all intent and purpose in the best interest of the people of Edo state.
“We affirm that any justifiable a d credible inquiry on the Specialist Hospital cannot be exhaustive without the major actors being mentioned. To that effect, we see his probing of the Specialist Hospital as diversionary, vindictive, unjust, unnecessary and callous.
“We make bold to say that the commission of inquiry set up by the governor lacks merit in all respects. The composition of the said panel set up by the governor reflects an underhand motive geared towards indicting and demeaning the social capital of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole”, the group added.
