Edo state deputy Governor, RT Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has commissioned an outlet of the GT Foods located inside the premises of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council.
Speaking before the official commissioning of the food center, the state deputy governor called on well meaning Nigerians to assist government in its efforts to address joblessness by establishing more business ventures in the country.
Comrade Shaibu commended the chairman of the fast foods (GT Plaza), Elder Pius Omofowan for creating jobs for several hundreds of Nigerian youths in the state.
Shaibu said the establishment of GT Food outlets across the state had helped to take many youths off the streets and also contributed to government’s drive to stop irregular migration.
The Edo State Deputy Governor urged Journalists to use their profession to unite the country and promote peace, especially now that the country is entering electioneering campaigns.
Also speaking, Chairman of GT Fast Foods, Elder Pius Omofuwan appreciated the leadership of Edo NUJ for providing the place for them to do business.
He assured of his commitment not to relent in contributing his quota to the development of society and mankind.
Omofuma, proudly stated that in terms of quality foods, GT Foods is second to none in the entire globe and assured customers of great treat in all its outlets.
Earlier, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, commended the Chairman of GT Foods for locating the food centre within the premises of the NUJ, noting that it will accord Journalists and visitors quality meals.
