Irate Youths In Oko Community Clampdown 2 Middle-age Ladies For Practicing Lesbianism In Benin City

It was a mini-drama yesterday Friday 5th of May, 2023 when two young ladies were dragged naked around the popular Samon Hotel, at Ben Oni Street off Airport Road, Benin City for their alleged involvement in lesbianism practice.

The Irate youths who claimed that Lesbianism or gay should not be accepted in any Nigerian society, were seen chanting “ kill them, kill them, they must die”, claimed that the unnatural practice is a taboo and against the natural belief of Edo as a people and as such must not be practiced anywhere around their community.

As at the time of this report, the seeming angry youths, were seen trying to physically assault the young ladies who gave their name as Uwa Success Egharevba and Uyiosa Mercy respectively.

The suspects who showed no remorse, admitted being lesbians who in fact have been into it for quite a long time now.

Uwa Success Egharevba who appeared unrepentant also admitted that she and Uyiosa Mercy (one of her partners) actually moved into the siren Ben Oni area of Airport Road, Benin City to seek refuge as they have previously been lynched by some angry community youths around Okada area of the State and declared wanted by the local Police also in the past over a related offence.

Our correspondent gathered that the apprehension and clampdown of the duo of Uwa Success Egharevba and Uyiosa Mercy, was facilitated by one Mr. Ayo Aigbe who alleged that he is the lover of Uyiosa Mercy and that he has been suspecting her of being involved in the ungodly practice of Lesbianism hence his decision to raise an alarm when he was told that Uyiosa Mercy was right at Samson Hotel, at Ben Oni Street off Airport Road, Benin City.

An eye witness who pleaded anonymity, said the duo were indeed lucky as the irate youths would have in fact burnt them alive if not for the quick intervention of the Samson Hotel Management. He stated further that he knows Uwa Success Egharevba as an unrepentant Lesbian in the area and that most people in the neighborhood do avoid having anything to do with her for fear of not being tagged as a member or practitioner also.

Another eyewitness who gave her name as Ame, stated also that she was so shocked to see that this ungodly practice of Lesbianism is being brought into their community.

As at this report, the management of Samson Hotel have since invited the police to come and rescue the duo of Uwa Success Egharevba and Uyiosa Mercy from the hands of the irate youths who were seen visibly chanting “ kill them, kill them, they must die”, while the suspects were still made to remain sitting on the floor.
