One of Nigeria’s finest political leaders and special gift to the nation, Etose Dickson Imasogie, penultimate week celebrated his 83rd birthday anniversary in grand style in Benin City.
The birthday which was low key, was grand by all standards as there was more than enough foods and drinks for family members, political associates, friends, media practitioners and well-wishers who graced the ceremony which was held at his modest house situated on Oza Street, Benin City.
Imasogie is one Man in Edo State, who commands respect from all both big time and upcoming politicians in the state because of his consistency and reliability in handling political issues, particularly those of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he’s a founding father and since 1998, has never moved an inch from the party.
Perhaps for these reasons and many more that serious minded politicians within and outside the state do everything possible to be associated to this irresistible political enigma of our time, Etose Dickson Imasogie.
Little wonder, therefore that a prominent but powerful contender for the number one political position (governorship) in Edo state, Barr. Asue Ighodalo, led a powerful delegation to pay homage to the indefatigable Leader of leaders on his birthday.
Ighodalo lauded Pa Imasogie, describing him as a dependable father and a unifying force within the PDP whose enduring contributions have solidified his position as a strong pillar in the growth and progress of the PDP.
Beyond the realm of politics, the 2024 PDP gubernatorial hopeful, asserted that Etose Imasogie, is acknowledged as a relentless philanthropist, leaving an indelible mark through his generosity and benevolence, noting that these qualities have become synonymous with his engagement in both public and private spheres.
Barr. Ighodalo who joined in the birthday celebration, offered prayers for God to bestow continued good health and a sound mind upon Pa Imasogie and sustain his impactful presence in the affairs of the PDP and the state at large.
In a brief remark, Etose Dickson Imasogie, who was full of appreciation and thankful to all and sundry for coming to felicitate and socialize with him on his 83rd birthday celebration, particularly paid glowing tributes to Governor Godwin Obaseki, the Secretary to Edo State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie Esq and Barr. Dr. Asue Ighodalo, for their presence and gifts.
He acknowledged God for the gift of life, saying God’s mercy has allowed him to witness yet another year, even as many of peers have long departed, but that God’s grace has kept him alive.
