The God Of Possibilities

Being An Opening Address Presented By Apst (Dr.) Godspower A. Ogbonmwan, JP, General Superintendent Of Christ Apostolic Church Of God Mission Int. Inc, (CACGM) Worldwide,During The Church’s International Convention 2018 Held Penultimate Week At The International Headquarter Of The Church Located At Isihor, Benin-Lagos Express Road, Benin City.
This is the day the Lord most High God has made, we would rejoice and be glad in it, we give God the glory and thanks as we assemble for the year 2018 International Convention of Christ Apostolic Church of God Mission Int. Inc. We humble ourselves-before God, reverently adored, magnified, praise, worship as we officially gather in his presence through the power of the Holy Spirit to fellowship and worship Him from all walks of life in this year 2018 International Convention.
I respectfully wish to express my gratitude, thanks and adoration to God most High on behalf of all lovely members of the Family of CACGM Int. Inc. for sparing our lives to see this beautiful day and counting us worthy of His divine nature. To God be the glory, the year 2017 has come and gone with all that God has helped us to achieved and our few challenges. It is a wonderful year to be remembered for numerous blessings and changes in Edo State, Nigeria, CACGM Int. Inc. worldwide and Christendom in general, to God be all the glory.
I told you, brethren in the year 2016 that the wave of God’s glory, mercy and goodness would move all across the Land, which became obvious in the year 2017. It brings to mind that the Scripture cannot be-broken. God will do greater than He has ever done in the year 2017. Our God is the God of possibilities. Behold the words of Isaac to Abraham the father Gen.22:7 “And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said. My father and he said, here am I, my son. And he said. Behold the fire and the wood, but where is the Lamb for a burnt offering? Verse 8 and Abraham said, my son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering” … I want to assure you brethren that the Lord will supply you all that look impossible to your divine sufficiency in the year 2018. For HE admonished us also in his holy words Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it”? He is the God of possibilities.
My brethren behold a new dawn of our Lord’s end-time revival, spiritual, prosperity, breakthrough, righteousness, winning souls for the kingdom of God, reconciliation of backsliders. The time has come for believers to think back and return to the old time religion of righteousness, holiness, deep love for the words of God, prayerfulness, avoid all forms of worldliness and cleave to the Redeemer. The words of God said “For with God nothing shall be impossible” Luke 1:27. The words of Jesus in Mark 11:22 “And Jesus answering said to them, Have faith in God. No mountain can resist you, impossibilities shall be possible, it shall be well with you. This brings us to the revelation message for this glorious year 2018, tagged “THE GOD OF POSSIBILITIES”.
God most high, during the cause of relating with the father of faith our Patriarch/his son Isaac, we saw how God supplied lamb for sacrifice instead of his son Isaac. Gen.22:9-14. With man, a lamb in the desert cannot come from anywhere, the God of possibilities provided lamb for sacrifice in the desert for Abraham to sacrifice unto God. The God of possibilities saw the obedience father Abraham displayed, he declared in Gen.22:17-18. “That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice. The God of possibilities will use your obedience to his voice, to bless you in the year, 2018 in Jesus Name – Amen.
The God of possibilities in the cause of relating with Hannah in ISam.l:7-17. Hannah was regarded as barren, since she has no child, year by year, she went to the house of the Lord in Shiloh, she earnestly prayed to the God of possibilities, a man of God mistaken her to be drunk. Hannah vowed to God, the Lord honoured her prayer. Prophet Eli at the end asked her to go in peace and the God of Israel grant her petition. The God of possibilities rolled away Hannah’s barrenness to fruitfulness. I declare and prophecy to you in this convention 2018, things that have being mocking you will roll away in Jesus Name – Amen. In the light of the foregoing, therefore as a servant of the most High God, I am compelled in my heart to say that 2018 will yield abundant prosperity of fruitfulness and multiplication in all areas of life for us as a Mission, land, Edo, Nigeria, worldwide as we cleave to the God of possibilities and obedience to HIM, like the father of faith Abraham. “The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.” (Psa. 34:10).
With a critical look at the Mission, the God of Possibilities has been faithful to us, there was one of our member, a woman at the appointed time, after sixty years of age, in one of our Branches, conceived and put to bed a baby boy, this was the Lord’s doing it was marvelous in our eyes. To God be the glory, if you are for such miracles the Lord will do yours in Jesus Name, Amen. The success of this great Mission in the past years can only be attributed to our obedience, worship and serving the God of possibilities and to our faithful members/dedicated Pastors all across the Branches of the Mission even oversea Branches. As a servant of the most High God, this official address cannot be concluded without our appreciation to the God of possibilities, our source of being, the lover and Redeemer of our precious souls, Christ Jesus and our comforter the Holy Ghost. I also wish to express my appreciation to the Assistant General Superintendent, Pastors in Nigeria/oversea Branches, and our highly respected honourable and distinguished members worldwide who have contributed immensely and meaningfully in numerous ways to ensure the growth of the Mission in all ramifications. Just to mention but a few, our kingdom Builders/Partners, the present and past Co-ordinators/Chairmen and members of the International Cathedral Building Committee, Rev.(Dr) F.S.E. Osadolor Esq who was the then Provincial Pastor of Edo Province II before the International Headquarter Isiohor, was officially handed over as the seat of the General Superintendent, worldwide, you are appreciated, please.
The new International Convention Planning Committee Chairman (Ministering Elder B. Oriakhi) and his wonderful team have also performed commendably for today’s convention to be possible. It is my prayer that the most High God, the God of possibilities will enlarge your coast in all ramifications, and your labour in the Lord will not be in vain, Heaven shall be your home in Abraham’s bosom in the last days in Jesus Name – Amen.
In respect of this Cathedral, there are lots more to still be done; Rome was not bu.llt in a day, lest I forget, I appreciate those of us who recently contributed to the Cathedral/Offices, Cartons of tiles etc. for further development of the Cathedral. Captain Honourable Hosa Okunbor also recently installed the current instruments we are using now, God bless you and your entire family. Brethren, you will still be called upon as the need arises in this Cathedral for it further advancement/development, do not hesitate to contribute, God bless you. I Cor.15:58 “Therefore, my beloved Brethren, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”.
Finally, I sincerely congratulate all and sundry for being beneficiaries of the God of possibilities end-time blessings and spiritual reawakening commencing from this moment, in the Name of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
