New Covenant Holds Convention in Benin City

The annual convention of the Gospel Light International Ministries (GLIM) – New Covenant Gospel Church (NCGC), has been scheduled to hold from 27th October through to 2nd November, 2025.

The one week power-packed event will take place at the Peniel Convention Camp of the church at Ohovbe, Agbor Park area of Benin City, Edo State.

A press statement issued by Deacon Ralph Okhiria, the Media Aide to Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, disclosed that some of the powerful men of God expected at the convention programme include a former national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

Others are: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Pastor Lawrence Achudume, Pastor Dr. Ayo Ajim, Rev. Dr. John Aniemeke, Evangelist Kingsley Nwaorgu and Rev. Ben Eregbai while Rev. Dr. Felix and Pastor Mrs. A.T. Omobude, are the Chief Hosts.

According to the statement, talented gospel musicians including Mercy Chinwo, Kingsley Ike, Lilian Nneji, and the Covenant Mass Choir, amongst others will render Christian soul-lifting songs during the convention.

The statement further stated that there will be free transportation to and fro the venue of the convention throughout the period of the spiritual event.

Deacon Okhiria revealed that Christian delegates and worshippers from many nations across the world would grace the convention which is divided into morning and evening sessions.

According to Deacon Ralph Okhiria who is a former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, the festival-like convention will be a period for spiritual refreshing for the Covenant Family in particular and for all other believers expected at the event which promises to bring down from heaven the mighty hands of God upon the participants.

“The Bible Alive Believers International Convention (BABIC), is held annually by the NCGC and this year’s edition is very special because an array of anointed servants of God are coming to join their faith with ours to spiritually uplift Nigeria as a country and Nigerians as a people before God.

“Specifically, fervent prayers shall be offered to God for the general well-being of the country, even as we shall be decreeing economic prosperity for Nigeria while praying against all forms of criminalities, especially terrorism, insurgency, banditry, kidnapping and other violent crimes.

“There shall be a great harvest of souls (salvation), miracles, signs and wonders. There shall be mighty visitations of God upon His people that are called by His name.

“Indeed, we have God’s assurances that the captives will be set free and delivered from their various problems; it shall be healing galore and the church will be strengthened by the power of God,” Deacon Okhiria added.
