2025/2026 Academic Year: We Didn’t Increase Fees – UNIBEN

The authority of the University of Benin, has described as untrue the rumour making the rounds in some social media platforms that it has increased the school fees for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The institution’s Registrar, A. Bobola, said in a press statement made available to The RELIANCE in Benin City, stated that the school did not effect any form of increment in school fees payable by students.

According to him, “the school has not effected any form of increase in the approved charges for all categories of students, including the current 2025/2026 Academic Session”.

It informed Students, Parents/Guardians and other Stakeholders that the University has consistently maintained the regime of school charges adopted in the previous sessions as applicable.

It further disclosed that the University has opened its portal for newly admitted students (100 Level and 200 Level Direct Entry) to pay school charges for the 2025/2026 session.

All the affected students are advised that only the approved portal link provided by the University should be used for the payment transactions.

The students are directed to Login with their User ID (Student ID) and Password (student password), and to pay School Charge, click on PAYMENT menu and then select school charges, under payment type.

It directed that, “all inquiries for clarification of any concern should be directed to the Information Communication Technology Unit of the school”.
