I write to react to The Reliance story captioned “Edo citizens dragged Oshiomhole to EFCC and CCB”. I am not a beneficiary of Oshiomhole eight years rule or as a boot leaker or praise singer or sycophant. I write as a genuine Edo man who loves good things, who have the feeling of Edo people at heart.
Chartered Flights: Can Kola and co if as governor of a state takes passenger’s plane when travelling?
Choice Drinks: What is wrong in one choosing his choice of drink? Is there no provision for entertainment in such a high profile office?
Room At Iyamho University: Is there any government functionaries that don’t inflate contracts. Have we forgotten the amount Lucky Igbinedion used in dredging Ikpoba river? Was Kola and co. not in Edo State then and what did they do?
Security Votes: Is Oshiomhole the first governor that started collecting security votes? If no, Kola and co should write a petition against other governors who also collected security vote during their tenure.
Security vote is unaccounted and why must Oshiomhole throw his own into the river or fire? If no, what is wrong in him using it to buy choice house.
Debt: If Edo is owing, is Oshiomhole the first governor to borrow, did Lucky Igbinedion not borrow? What happens to Bendel Brewery? Luc y Igbinedion borrowed 600m which plunged the factory into its present state.
Let us always learn to be appreciative. Oshiomhole did his best. Before he came onboard and before his exit in November 2016, people should consult their conscience to judge if the ex governor do not deserves our commendations? Let us not be PHD (Pull Him Down). Although Oshiomhole have some lapses, we should not forget that no man is perfect.
If Lucky Igbinedion did one tenth of what Oshiomhole did, Edo would have not be as it is today. THANKS TO OSHIOMHOLE. We are highly grateful to you.
My colleagues please stop this madness and don’t allow people who have nothing for the Edo people to instigate you to dabble into what you don’t know. They talked about the Specialist Hospital, but had it been the hospital was built by past PDP administration, Oshiomhole would have only equipped it.
My co-activist, we should learn to be objective and constructive.
