EFCC: Our Leaders Are Back Home – Edo PDP

By Chris Nehikhare

Despite the shenanigans of Edo State Government, we are pleased to announce that our leaders, Chief Dan Orbih, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Hon. Anthony Aziegbemi and Mr. Efe Anthony, are back home.

We thank all Edo people for the support, words of encouragement and solidarity showed to us in the last couple of days. To God be the glory.

In law, an accused is presumed innocent except convicted. But with President Buhari, an accused is guilty except discharged and acquitted. For us, our leaders are innocent of the charges and they look forward to defending themselves in court.

It is clear what the government at the federal and state levels want to achieve, but we caution, Nigerians, especially Edo people are too sophisticated to be deceived and conned!

We urge Edo people to remain steadfast and committed to the just course of mobilizing to vote out APC in the next elections.

Edo state deserves better.

Meanwhile, the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih has described their recent travails as a price paid for their determination to free Edo people from APC strangulation.

Reacting to their recent EFCC case, Chief Orbih thanked people of the state for their prayer and support, noting that liberating Edo State is a task that must be done.

“Of all the virtues known to man, COURAGE is one of the most important. Oftentimes, very rare. Great leaders and men of honour must utilize this to rescue their people in times of turmoil.”

“They use the trash people dump on them, to build solid foundation for democratic advancement for a better society.”

“Thanks for your prayers and support”, he posited

Also, in a press statement, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Edo 2016 PDP Governorship candidate, called on all well-meaning Nigerians to join hands to fight wickedness, oppression, injustice and hypocrisy in our nation and state.

In his appreciation message, Pastor Ize-Iyamu said “Friends and indeed brothers are discovered in times of crisis and persecution. I appreciate all those who stood by us during this trying period.”

“We are encouraged, strengthened and energized by your powerful show of support, love and prayers. We must all join hands to fight wickedness, oppression, injustice and hypocrisy in our nation and State.”

“We are grateful to you all and most especially to the Almighty God who would not allow us to be disgraced or put to shame but rather will contend with all who contend against us.”

“Thanks and God bless you”, he added.

Recall that the EFCC has last weekend arraigned the PDP leaders and Mr. Lucky Imasuen at a Federal High Court sitting in Benin City over alleged 700 million naira PDP 2015 presidential election money
