Auchi-based Businessman, Rtn Ahmed Oshiobugie (PHF) has taken over the leadership of Rotary Club of Auchi Metropolitan District 9141, Nigeria as the 13th President for the 2018/2019 year.
Rtn. Oshiobugie M. Ahmed (Phf), born on the 21st day of July some Rotary years ago at Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area, Edo State, can best be described as a cerebral colossus.
A man of remarkable quality – intelligent, astute, patriotic and dependable team player, Rtn. Ahmed is the quintessential volunteer. Devoted to a robust development of the society with a vision of digital progression, he is an advocate of youth inclusion in governance. He is also a fearless apostle of truth that proclaims and upholds justice, fairness and equity at all times, in all circumstances and irrespective of personality.
In preparation for the outstanding future, Rtn. Ahmed had his academic education from the primary to the tertiary in Auchi. He attended Akpekpe Primary School, Akpekpe Secondary School and Auchi Polytechnic. An exceptionally brilliant scholar, Rtn. Ahmed Oshiobugie had a glorious academic pursuit at the Polytechnic where he studied Accounting, bagging the Ordinary National Diploma and Higher National Diploma, respectively, with Upper Credit(s). In furtherance of his academic quest, Rtn. Oshiobugie Ahmed bagged a post graduate diploma (PGD) in Business Administration at the National Open University Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja. Indeed, his demonstration of unparalleled excellence clearly distinguishes and places him as a role model to Nigerian youths.
The District is made up of members in Akoko-Edo, Etsako West, Etsako East, Owan East, Owan West and Etsako West Local Government Areas of Edo State. Rtn Ahmed Oshiobugie (PHF) who took over from Rtn. Ahmed Elamah Saliu (PHF) promised to take the new District to global heights in the key areas of Rotary International focus, including provision of water and sanitation, basic literacy, peace, education and sustenance of polio eradication.
Meanwhile, the investiture ceremony which took place at Lecky Convention Centre and Hotel, Auchi witnessed new members join the Rotary Club and awards were also given to friends of Rotary for their contribution to the activities of Rotary and humanity.
