Presidential Election: Buhari Finally Caged Atiku

President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been re-elected as Nigeria’s President for another four years term.
He polled a total of 15,191,947 votes in the presidential election held last Saturday (February 23, 2019), to defeat his closest rival, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 11,212,978 total votes.
According to the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Yakubu Mahmood, while the incumbent president won in 19 states, Atiku won in 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Winning the presidential election for second time consecutively has prompted the APC leaders and their loyalists into wild jubilations and celebration across the country.
