I write from the bottom of my heart to ask this question “what is the sin of Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki that made him not to deserve a second term as Governor of our dear State?” We, the binis as a people should be grateful and happy that he never disappointed us.
Before our ancestors, is Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki not performing? Must we continue to stand on the old rotten protocol of sharing the state money? He is our illustrious son and we ought to support him to get a second term as done by Lucky Igbinedion and Adams Oshiomhole.
We should not pay him with the ingratitude we paid IDEN NO KPOKHUO. If a masquerade is dancing well, the owner should be happy. We have 52% of Edo State population, why must we allow other tribes to choose who will represents us? WHY?.
Comrade Adam Oshiomhole did his eight years as governor and nobody disturbed him, why are we supporting him to disturb our performing son? Why must we be like URUDIN that always wage war against his house? WHY? Majority of those fighting or kicking against Obaseki’s re-election are Bini sons. WHY? Time to speak and wake up. Let us put a stop to allowing other tribes to meddle into our affairs.
Let us support our son for a second term in office as governor of our dear state so that the good works he has started will not be abandoned. If we fail at this point in time, we are finished as a nation or tribe. Adams Oshiomhole is a man that fought godfatherism.
He introduced “One-Man-One-Vote” and told us “Let the people lead”. We are now clapping for him to be an emperor. WHY? When Chief John Odigie Oyegun was the National Chairman of APC, he never did what Adams Oshiomhole is doing to Godwin Obaseki to him when he (Oshiomhole) was governor.
For over three years, no protest of any kind from pensioners, civil servants, etc. The unpaid financial entitlements of retired civil servants have been cleared. All civil servants receive their pay before the end of every month since Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki assume office as governor.
Some of his scorecards are as follows:
- The almost completed Ossiomo power supply.
- The Production Centre at Sapele Road.
- Construction of hundreds of roads across the state.
Ongoing and completed projects:
- Completion of abandoned Secretariat buildings and erection of new ones.
- Building of High Court and Judges Quarters.
- Construction of the state Training Institute.
- Renovation and re-modelling of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
- Removal of CDA that open up private constructions in and around Benin City.
- Introduction of E-Revenue collection with human face.
- Emotan Housing Scheme.
- Gelegele Sea port.
- Industrial Layout.
- Breakthrough in the Education sector through Edo-Best initiative.
- Creation of ESTMA and PUWOV.
- Maintaining the Seed-yam for future generations and many more.
History and posterity will judge us based on the actions we take today. Dear Bini sons and daughters, let us rise to support the re-election of our illustrious son, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.
