National Chairman of the National Restoration Movement (NRM), Senator Daidu Dansadau, has declared that his political party is a better alternative to the people of Edo state.
He noted that the two dominant Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have repeatedly failed the people of the state for over two decades.
Senator Dansadau made the disclosure when he inaugurated the party’s governorship Campaign Council in Benin City, the Edo State Capital.
Represented by Muhammed Isa, he said “We are confident, committed and capable of rescuing Edo state from the hands of political captors”
Also speaking, Director General of the Campaign Council, Olusola Afuye said the entire Nation “bleeds from the dirty and corrupt politics of the siemese twins, the APC and PDP.
“Together we will lead our party, the NRM to Osadebey Avenue. We shall lead this state back to peace, safety and prosperity. We shall take this state back from treasury looters and plunderers of commonwealth”, he said.
On his part, the governorship candidate of the party, Steveie Ozono, called on Edo people to vote for him and the NRM which he said is the virgin land that will produce much for the state.
According to him, “In time past, we have been manipulated to elect leaders who serve the interest of a few and not the vast majority of the people”, adding that “Edo people are not scared of Federal might and peacefully, come September 19, the people will vote for a new government”
