The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Glad Tidings Enterprises Limited, Elder Pius Omofuma was on a visit to Edo journalists to appreciate the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council over his installation as a Grand Patron of the union.
In his unscheduled visit, the guru in hospitality business said, “I want to appreciate the chairman of the union and those consistently standing by chairman.
“I decided to stop by to thank everyone of you for the honour you people gave me. I have never heard of such a dinner before (referring to the ‘Journalists Classic Dinner’, held penultimate week at the Uyi Grand International Event Centre, Benin City). May God continue to bless the chairman, members of his cabinet and everyone who have never left him since the campaign period till now”, he said.
Responding, the Chairman of the union, Comrade Festus Alenkhe said, “we are hopeful of having a mini spot here at the Press Centre which GT Foods can use as a business spot. This will be our contribution to you as you are already giving back to the society.
“In the nearest future, we will be connected to constant and uninterrupted power supply from the Ossiomo plant. So, this will boost your mini spot here”, he said.
Highlight of the visit was the trumpet sound rendition by Comrade Kadiri Christopher, an official of The RELIANCE chapel of the NUJ. The visitor was later taking round the Press Centre in order to see the works done so far within two months in office by Comrade Festus Alenkhe-led administration.
