The Duke (Enogie) of Obazuwa Community of Edo State, HRH Edun Akenzua, MFR, has recently presented a world class plan of a hall to be built at the Obazuwa Community.
Presenting the well structured plan to the Obazuwa Community elders and youth leaders, the Enogie said “it is my pleasure to see things properly done”.
The nine page document titled “PROPOSED COMMUNITY HALL FOR HRH PRINCE EDUN AGHARESE AKENZUA MFR, FNSE (OGIEOBAZUWA)”, is to give a facelift to the community and also to cater for their meeting venue.
The elders in council were filled with untold joy as they kept showering appreciation on the handsome looking Enogie.
Similarly, to further beef their excitement, HRH Edun Akenzua said he has listened to the yearnings of the people of Obazuwa Community and has been preserving their lands for the next generation.
He said he has rationalised the issue on the ban of sales of land at Obazuwa Community and have resolved that “the ban on sales of land at Obazuwa is hereby lifted”.
According to him, “Not everyone is permitted to sell the land. We don’t want too much access to the sales of our community land.
“If you have someone who is having genuine intention of buying landed property at Obazuwa Community, go through the right channel in order not to run into problems.
“Those who sold the community property during the ban, will face the wrought of the law soon. Those who illegally acquired the property, will be requested to regularise the purchase in order to have ease on the property.
“I want to use this opportunity to caution the elders and youths to avoid illegal sales of land. You people should avoid sales of farmlands and also avoid sales of marked areas for health care facility, sporting facility and all other development areas.
“Everyone will identify their farmlands and those whose farmlands were forcefully and illegally taken, will have their property restored back to them.
“Realtors who buy properties in large expanse can buy properties from us. But, they must be guided in order not to encroach on people’s farmlands and other marked areas”, he said.
The elders and leaders of the community were so elated and couldn’t hide their excitement as they incessantly showered ‘thank you’ to their beloved handsome duke.
