Ilusota Bags Chieftaincy Tittle in Esanland

It was a joyous moment recently at Ujiogba in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, when Mr Osaze Ilusota of Idumo-boh quarter of Ujiogba called out the general public and well wishers to join him to merry in celebration of his Chieftancy tittle as the Adolor of Ujiogba kingdom.

The ceremony was graced by dignitaries from far and near. The Enojie of Ujiogba, HRH. Zaiki. Solomon Ojeaga ,the Izuware 1 was present as the Royal Father of the day.

Chief Osaze, the new Adolor of Ujiogba and some members of his family made a special ‘thank you’ dance procession to and fro the Enojie’s palace for a royal blessing and prayers.

The new chief together with members of his family, friends and well-wishers, also presented some traditional gifts to the Ujiogba king.

Making his remarks, Zaiki Izuware I, rejoiced with the celebrant, whom he described as an honest young, noble man who had distinguished himself over the years.

His Highness, disclosed that the tittle of Adolor is not just an ordinary tile but is a special title that is held by only the nobles in the kingdom.

He therefore admonished other recently decorated chiefs who have not thought it wise to celebrate their titles to emulate the good examples of the young Chief Adolor.

The Ujiogba king, later offered words of prayers and blessings for Chief Ilusota, his family, friends and well-wishers.

Native gun shoots were later released to announce the arrival of the new chief and the merriment that followed was very great.

Speaking at ceremony, one of the special guests, High Chief Ekpen 1 (JP), from Igueben commended the bold steps Chief Ilusota, who is a lover of peace and unity.

Chairman of the occasion, Chief Dr. Ckukwudi Obiwuru, also expressed his satisfaction over the performances and achievements of the young Ujiogba chief.

The mother of the day was Mrs Atu Modukpe. She expressed her gratitude to the family for releasing their son for the service of the community.

Thanksgiving service was held at St Joseph Catholic Church, Ujiogba.
