Buyers Beware: Igiogbe of Iyamu, Iyasenohemwen of Benin Kingdom Not For Sale

The family of late Chief John Omoregie Iyamu (the Obazuwa of Benin Kingdom), has warned the general public to beware of the activities of land speculators who are planning to illegally sell the entire or part of the land/stores consisting of a car wash, lying, situate, and being at No. 41, Sokponba Road, by Aruosa junction, Benin City, belonging to the late Chief John Omoregie Iyamu.

According to a caveat emptor jointly signed by Victor Iyamu (the Okaigbe of the family) and Etose Dickson Imasogie (for the Iyasenohemwen family), said the family has knowledge of the plans by some persons to sell the said property which is the Igiogbe of Iyamu and Iyasenohemwen of Benin Kingdom.

The caveat emptor reads as follows:

“Notice is hereby given to the general public that the entire parcel of land/stores consisting of a car wash, lying, situate, and being at No. 41, Sokponba Road, by Aruosa Junction, Benin City, belongs to LATE CHIEF JOHN OMOREGIE IYAMU (The Obazuwa of Benin Kingdom).

“It has come to the knowledge of the family that some persons have been making plans to sell the said property which is the Igiogbe of Iyamu and Iyasenohemwen of Benin Kingdom.

“The general public is hereby warned that any person(s) who transacts business over the property with these miscreants does so at his/her own risk”.
