Edo 2024 : ‘I Want To Contest The Governorship Post’ – Ikpea Tells APC National Chair

Ahead of the party primaries that will herald the governorship election in Edo State, a frontline aspirant, the only truly dependable leader and foremost option of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the forth coming primaries of the party, Hon. Joseph Ikpea has paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), His Excellency ,Abdullahi Adamu Ganduje, at his APC, National Secretariat office in Abuja.

to seek prayers and support of the party leadership in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state was personally received by the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Ganduje, who said “My coming to our National Secretariat is to formally inform the National Chairman and the entire leadership of the party of my humble intention to present myself as the possible choice for the candidacy of our great party in the 2024 governorship election in Edo State.

“Mr. Chairman sir, am aware that you know how important Edo State is to our great party. We can not and should not be expected to reason anything short of outright winning the state by APC at the ballot.

“To do this, Mr Chairman Sir, I am offering myself, my expertise, and my experiences, in and out of government, coupled with my grassroots reach in politics as a requisite quality unequaled by any other person who may be showing signs of interest in the primaries and subsequent contest.

Hon. Joseph Ikpea, an astute businessman who was at various times Local Government Council Chairman, Civil Commissioner among other political offices held told the National Leadership of APC that “Prayers and goodwill counts in all our dealings as human beings. This has informed my coming to seek your prayers, goodwill and support in achieving the intention of mine in the interest of the people of Edo state, Nigeria, Nigerians, and our great party.

I am very committed to serving my people at the gubernatorial level and as being a good ambassador of the party. Your support at this time and level will never be taken for granted.

Responding, the National Chairman All Progressive Congress, APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Ganduje, said the party is keenly watching the procedures and process leading to the party primaries and subsequent election.

“I thank you for finding time to visit us at the National Secretariat to tell us about your intentions which we have taken notice of. We wish you well in all you do during the process and be safe as you continue your consultations.
