LGBT Activities In Oza Community: Edo Police Investigates Lawrence Egharevba’s Alleged Involvement

The Reliance investigation has revealed that that one Lawrence Egharevbe, is being investigated by the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, over his alleged involvement in Gay activism in Oza Community, Orhionmwon local government area of the state.

The suspect was alleged to have been encouraging both male and female young people in his community to be involved in LGTB, a situation that has allegedly caused serious problems with the family of those that are involved.

According to the sources in the Oza community, Lawrence Egharevba’s action has destroyed the future of the young men and women in the area with the sodomy practice.

It was further learnt that the said Lawrence Egharevba, has been ostracised from the community because such act was against the customs and traditions of the people of the community.

Investigation revealed that accused’s store and house have been destroyed, yet the community people are still insisting that “his blood is still needed for the cleansing of land which he had desecrated with his abominable acts”

The state command’s image maker, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, could not be reached for comment, but a source close to his office told The Reliance that the matter was under investigation.
