President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the reconstitution of the Governing Council for the University of Benin by appointing a five member council.
The newly appointed Chairman and members include: Prof. Umar Shuibu – Chairman (Gombe), Rt. Hon. (Dr). Samson Osagie -1st Member (Edo), Chineye Chukwudili – member, Hon. Rufai Chanchangi – member and Alhaji Aminat Adigun – member.
RT. Hon. Dr. Samson Osagie, who is an astute and responsible politician from Edo State, was a two term member of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly where he served as the Minority Whip.
Osagie who hails from Uhunwode Local Government Area of the state, is a strong and reliable member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
