For the timely and proactive steps taken by men of the Anti kidnapping Squad of the Edo State Police Command, some policemen would have by now been in kidnappers’ den.
Investigation revealed that some hardened and vicious kidnappers had perfected plans to kidnap some policemen in Benin City. But the move was foiled by the police before the hoodlums could carry out their dastardly act which they had scheduled for 27 of September, 2019.
But through high-tech intelligence, the proactive policemen arrested the four suspects in their hideout where they were supposed to launch the attack.
The suspects names were given as Messrs Anderson Fattyboy, Samuel Ofoni, Super Abisokor and Longlife Dise.
The Edo state commissioner of Police, Mr. Danmallam Muhammad had repeatedly warned criminals and their collaborators to relocate from Edo state or face strong police resistance.
Recall that over 144 suspected criminals were arrested in the state during the month of September, 2019.
