Worrisome Activities of Secret Societies In Nigeria

The unwholesome activities of members of the dreaded occultic groups, particularly the Ogboni Secret society and Owegbe group have continued to give innocent Nigerians sleepless nights.

These groups of occultic people are well connected, rich and influential with membership drawn from the business, academic, police, military, political circles, amongst others.

Members of these secret societies get what they want and nothing can stand on their ways or prevent them from getting things done in their own ways. They are very brutal, callous and violent. They brook no opposition. They recruit  their own choice of people through peaceful or forceful means into their folds but rarely accept volunteers.

These unscrupulous Nigerians have with impunity sent uncountable innocent people to their early graves. Unfortunately, these evil men are never brought to book by the law enforcement authorities because they are highly connected.

Worst still, these well organized occultic people use various unconventional methods in carrying out their activities. They mostly use frustration, direct violent, untraceable or spiritual means in dealing with their victims.

Just recently, our Crime Correspondent reported a case of a Nigerian lady, Gloria Udeh Ekundayo who is going through hell in the hands of the dreaded occultic society known as Ogboni Confranity which is frantically trying to initiate her into their group.

Gloria Udeh Ekundayo, a mother of three whose life is in grave danger for daring to refuse to become a member of the secret society group.

For her rejection to be part of the occultic body, the members who seems to be operating above the law, were said to have directly or remotely caused the death of Gloria’s in-laws who they suspected failed to prevail on her to join the group.

To make matters worst for Gloria, members of the cultists have seriously threatened to kill her and her three children, namely Temidayo, Ayomide and Toluwalashe.

As a sign of seriousness, Gloria’s husband, Henry Ola Ekundayo, had severally been molested and beaten up with life-threatening injuries by people suspected to be Ogboni Confranity members or their agents.

According to investigation, the Confranity wanted Gloria to become their member because she gave birth to the first grandchild of her father-in-law which is a tradition in their Confranity.

As at the time of filing the story, the whereabouts of Gloria and her three children remain unknown. A source claimed that she may have disappeared from the shores of Nigeria to save her life and those of her three children.

Efforts to get the comments of the police spokesman, Mr Frank MBA, proved abortive but a source close to his office who preferred anonymity stated that “nobody would want to stick out his or her neck on such matter because it’s too delicate and risky”.
