EDO 2020: NO SHAKING – Shaibu

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, has urged Edo people not to fret over the crisis in the ruling party, saying that there is no cause for alarm.
According to him, “there is no need for our people to be worried over happenings in the party because everything is under control. There is no shaking at all”.
Speaking further, the deputy governor affirmed that there will be too much of peace in Edo State in the year 2020 which is the year for Edo State gubernatorial election.
The Deputy Governor who said this during his annual Media Parley at his residence, reiterated that victory is sure for the reelection of Governor Godwin Obaseki and himself in 2020.
He used the medium to appeal for calmness and cooperation which will take Edo state to a higher and better level
“I want to appeal to you that you shouldn’t fret over anything. These little, little noises you are hearing will soon be over and 2020 will be the most peaceful year in Edo. And I want to inform you that those who are making these noises will soon support us, not only them, but their families too.”
December 20th, is a day set aside every year for the entertainment of the media men in the at his residence. He used the medium to let the Journalists know that they are very much appreciated and all their works are not in vain.
Speaking earlier, chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Comrade Sir Roland Osakue, thanked the deputy governor for the yearly hosting of Journalists in the state.
Highlights of the parley was the presentation of hamper to the deputy governor by the Correspondents Chapel ably led by Nefisat Yakubu (Mrs), presentation of hand made customized card by the State council of the NUJ as presented by Comrade Roland Osakue and special beads presented by Comrade (Mrs.) Ijeoma Umeh for previous assistance rendered her by Comrade Shaibu.
Members where thereby led by the host to take breakfast after earlier taking personal photographs with some Journalists in attendance.
Present at the parley were Hon. Osarodion Ogie, Secretary To State Government, Mr. Ehiozuwa, Head of Service, Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser on Media to Edo State Governor, Senator Ehigie Uzamere, amongst other dignitaries.
