He said main purpose of returning to the All Progressives Congress, a party he was a founding member, was to add value to it and not to tear it apart.
The Politician, a renowned political strategist, has come under intense criticism for daring to hold an APC Mega Rally at his residence in Benin City, even when the Police kicked against it.
Some people accused him of high desperation over his ambition to become governor of the state.
“Why the hurry to hold a political mega rally, if not because of sheer desperation? Pastor Ize-Iyamu should learn to wait on God, rather than wanting to force himself on the people.
“His decision to go ahead with the so-called mega rally was a clear sign of a politician in a hurry to get what he wants and that is not good for somebody aspiring to lead,” Godswill Ojenor said.
But Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, says he has done nothing wrong, noting that everything he has done was in the best interest of the APC and people of the state.
But the factional state chairman of the APC, Barr. Aselm Ojezua, described Pastor Ize-Iyamu as a political mercenary who sees politics as a hit and run business.
Ojezua who was addressing newsmen at the APC Secretariat located at the Airport Road, Benin City, said the actions and body language of Pastor Ize-Iyamu indicated that he is not only hungry for power but in a hurry to grab power by all illegitimate means.
“Why will an experience politician of Ize-Iyamu’s status force himself into a political party he had earlier left unceremoniously, if not desperation and quest to grab power through dirty means?
“Well, he has made a political mistake of his life because the APC leadership is yet to recognize him as a member of the party. We will leave him to keep deceiving himself and living in a fool’s paradise”, Ojezua added.
